Frequently Asked Questions

Bonds are placed on Event bookings such as Hens, buck parties, wine tours, weddings, birthday parties and late night transfers. The bond is $300 (depending on the purpose) and covers issues such as cleaning fees, overtime charges, damages to the vehicle etc.

A $200 non refundable holding/booking deposit is required to secure your vehicle, otherwise your booking is not guaranteed. Balance is required to be paid 7 days prior to your journey.

Bookings cancelled 72 hours prior to travel time will lose booking/holding deposit, however damage bond will be fully refunded. Bookings cancelled 24 hours prior to departure time will forfeit complete value of booking, however damage bond will be fully refunded.

Overtime waiting rates are charged at $50.00 for every 30 minute intervals. Overtime charges are at the discretion of Hobart Explore management.

Most beverages (non alcoholic) are permitted on your bus with exception of those in glass containers, chewing gum and chocolate are not permitted. Easy to manage foods (that don’t create a mess) are permitted. Charges apply if any cleaning is required after your journey is complete.

Hobart Explore policy dictates that no alcohol is to be opened or consumed on vehicle.

Our fully equipped clean and well maintained buses and along with our friendly and experienced drivers. We will make sure that you and your group arrive at your destination in style and most importantly safe and hassle free.

Yes, we can definitely negotiate a price but can guarantee that Hobart Explore services are very affordable and will meet all your means.

We can only advise additional stop charges as they are requested. There are no set guidelines or rates, it’s dependent on your itinerary and travel requirements. If you wish to update your booked itinerary please contact us asap and will advise costs that may apply.

Our buses are complete with seatbelts that are fitted for your safety as well as air conditioning and tinted windows. There is also a fire extinguisher and 1st aide kit for emergencies. All Hobart Explore buses have passed accreditation and transport checks through department of state growth in Tasmania. 

Your allocated drivers will have contact details of customer who made the booking and any other relevant phone numbers for pick ups. Please make sure that you and other guests are ready.

Hobart Explore reserves the right to refuse to set down or pick up at any locations other than those nominated by the original booking.

Property left on our buses can be forwarded on. Owner needs to request their property to be forwarded on and any direct expense will be charged to the owner of the property. If the owner is in the Hobart area, arrangements can be made for a mutual meeting time.
